Toy Success

You can sure tell that the birds around here are all in favor of our toy making parties! Buster goes to town on the newest cluster of goodies.

Barnaby is closely inspecting the large rolled mat toy that is installed in the Exotic Enclosure for all to play with. He eventually climbed all over it.

Some birds are fearful of large new scary toys...not Barnaby! He went right over to take a look! What a guy.

The birds all love to watch when the toy making gathering is taking place. With their keen vision, it must be very stimulating. All those neat parts! Let me at em!

Well, the funny thing is that Gayle told me (when I commented about all the WONDERFUL toys Buster had in his cage!) that Buster was one of those types of birds that "really didn't like his toys"! So, to "try out" my new line of bird toys, 'Birdy Bling', I gave Gayle a couple of toys. She put the first Clusterflock toy made up of Balsa wood and popsickle sticks in Buster's cage, and we were ALL surprised that Buster got right down to business and destroyed it completely within a couple of weeks! Gayle put the more elaborate Clusterflock toy, comprised of small wood and plastic pieces (about 120 pieces with knots tied in-between each piece!) and Buster has been working on THAT toy for a couple of weeks now. He even works on it when people stop to WATCH him working on it (and most people who are owned by Greys know that usually Greys will stop "playing' if you look at them!)! I have NEVER met a bird that has turned its beak up to a Clusterflock toy yet! My record is STILL perfect!
