Cage Repairs

All Fixed

Popped A Weld

A Powerful Beak Cracks Mac Nuts
When you have a hyacinth in residence, you have a powerful beak.  Echo Blue can easily use her beak to crack a macadamia nut.  Mac nuts have very hard thick shells.  There isn't much of a seam in a mac nut.  The bottom mandible of a parrot is a sharp edged tool.  The strength of the beak is also a factor.  Echo is housed in one of my big double macaw cages.  It is a strong cage!  However, Echo popped a weld!  Luckily, my son Paul is a welder.  He was able to weld the bar back in place and made the cage new again.   Excellent job Paul!  Thank you!  Cage repair is one of his many specialties.
