When parrots come to board at my home, they seem to enjoy the comradarie of being in a flock. Some of my boarders are "only birds" and hardly know what to think at first. But they soon come around and take part in the fun. I am often asked if a guest bird will learn to squawk like the cockatoo. Actually it is my experience that they learn to say the verbal phrases of the others if they're so inclined, but not the loud calls. In fact, many of the talkers learn to say, "quiet, pipe down!"
